The reason that I adopted my horse from East Texas Horse Rescue in Alto, Texas is because I knew that I was ready to take in another horse and care for it very well! Whenever I got Cookie, she was so happy with us and wonderful with my children. I love having her and wouldn't trade her for anything. I think it has also taught my children that the horses at the rescue need love even more than the other ones that have the higher price tag! If you are in the market for adopting a horse--You are at the right place! You won't be disappointed--I promise!
